Sliman's Sales & Service Diamond Softball Field
In 2000, Paul Sliman decided to start a softball organization. There was only one problem: there were no fields available for girls to play on. After
searching and searching, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Paul and a small group of men and women built Sliman's Diamond on the dealership
property. It quickly became the nicest softball field in Lorain County. Sliman's Diamond was home to the Amherst Comets Varsity Softball team, and also
hosted the District and Regional tournament games. Due to expansion of inventory and the dealership itself, Sliman's Diamond was taken down in 2012 and all
of the equipment was donated to different organizations. But the story of Sliman's Diamond doesn't end there.
Amherst Softball head coach Lacey Reichert, who coached for Sliman's Dodge Girls, and Paul Sliman decided to bring back Sliman's Diamond on the school
property. In partnership with the Amherst School District, Sliman's Diamond is back. Paul also pitched in the sponsor the Amherst Baseball field as well,
creating "Sliman's Diamonds" on Washington Ave.
