Silman's Sales & Service Inc is proud to help our community learn about new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. Whether you're seeking improved performance or efficiency, the eTorque mild-hybrid system delivers plenty of benefits for work and play.

How eTorque Works

eTorque is a mild-hybrid system that replaces the traditional alternator with a belt-driven motor generator unit. Paired with a 48-volt battery pack, eTorque deploys and captures energy as you drive around town. When hitting the throttle, the eTorque system can deliver up to 130 pound-feet of supplemental torque to help you accelerate from a stop or enjoy smooth gear changes.

What Models Have eTorque?

While previous generations of the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, and Jeep Wagoneer were offered with eTorque, Ram 1500 trucks are the only model that still offer eTorque. 2026 Ram 1500 trucks have two powertrains equipped with the eTorque mild-hybrid system:

  • 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 with eTorque — Produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque.
  • 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with eTorque — Produces 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
